Giclée print: Gustav Klimt's "Hygieia"
THE PRINT
Printed with museum-grade, UV resistant inks on museum-grade recycled paper.
THE ARTWORK
See "The Controversy and Destruction of Klimt's "Medicine" for more details.
Hygieia depicts a portion of Gustav Klimt's "Medicine", a painting destroyed in 1945 (most likely by German SS forces). Thus, this print is the most accurate reproduction of the famous painting (constructed from Klimt's preliminary sketches and some photographs), as true copies naturally do not exist.
Klimt's paintings, particulary "Medicine" are signifcant works of Vienese, Art Nouveau, and Romantic art.
